Merry Christmas!

I hope that everyone had a very Merry Mango Christmas! I had a good one. In addition to the Dingo bone that Mikeo gave me, I got two more presents…

Amy and David got me four new frisbees! Good thing because my yellow and black one was getting shabby. I was only allowed to play with one though, this yellow one!

And Koko (although I think it was Vicki, Amy’s sister) got me this new tennis ball toy! It’s very versatile, you can hold it in the middle…

…or you can hold one of the ends, like this!

The only bad thing about Christmas was the Roboraptor. While Mikeo was thinking clearly and logically when he got me my Dingo bone, he must have been a little drowsy or something when he decided to get David a Roboraptor. It drives me crazy! It walks and roars and I bark right back at it.

I am Mango, hear me roar!

1st 2005 Christmas Present

Today, I received my first Christmas present this year from Mikeo! He came over (as he usually does for football Sundays) and brought all of us gifts. Amy and David decided that they’d wait till Christmas to open theirs but I smelled mine immediately and couldn’t wait. He had it all wrapped up, but I ripped that pretty red paper right off.

A meat filled Dingo bone! No one thought I’d be able to get it out of its packaging, but I’m a border collie, I’m the smartest dog out there! I had to think for a minute to figure out what to do.

After much thought, I finally decided that ripping it apart would work best, so I got to work.

Rip off a piece here…

And a piece there…

Finally, it’s loose!

Victory! Ah sweet, yummy, meaty filled victory! Thanks Mikeo and Happy Holidays to everyone!

My New Orange Toy

Tonight Amy came home with a new toy! She got it for auditing a Reactive Dog class at a training facility in Leesburg. I was really excited when I saw the new toy because not only is it mango colored, but it’s soft and for those of you who have kept up with my blog, you know that it’s been a long time since I’ve been allowed to play with a soft toy. Once I got my little paws on that orange toy, I showed again why I cannot be trusted with something that is soft and contains a squeaker.

So, Amy got home at 8:15 PM and gave me my toy…don’t touch it, it’s mine!

What’s this stupid little loop doing on here? Well, this definitely has to go.

Hmmm…I know there’s a squeaker in here somewhere, if I could only get to it.

Ah…the fluff has been extracted…I feel so much better.

AND it only took me 30 minutes! New record for me!

Me Then and Me Now

This is a picture taken of me play bowing when I was just a little wee puppy. I was only a few weeks old and Amy and David had just brought me home.

This is a picture of me play bowing just a few days ago at the ripe old age of 17 months.

As you can see, much has changed since I was only 8 weeks old but much has remained the same. I am of course, just as cute as ever, although I weigh about 35 more pounds now and I’m not quite as fuzzy as I once was. All of the pink around my face never disappeared but my blue eyes did, now they’re hazel. That dot underneath my left eye got bigger and one appeared under my right eye. Oh and of course there’s the subject of my legs. I’ve been told that I’m a tad on the lanky side and that my legs are too long and too skinny. Obviously they weren’t always so, they used to be short and stubby but somewhere along the way, they decided to shoot out from underneath my and now, well, now you have legs that are five times as long as they started.
